This Visual Culture project explores forgotten women in history, focusing on themes of visibility, recognition, and historical imbalance. It highlights how women’s achievements and identities have often been overlooked or erased, using visual communication to address the lack of women’s voices within male-dominated historical narratives.
The final outcome combines mixed media elements, including campaign-style articles and stickers, to create an expressive response. A central painted figure of a faceless woman holding an empty book symbolises the loss of identity and recognition, encouraging reflection on representation, memory, and gender inequality through powerful visual storytelling.
