This project explores how religion has influenced attitudes towards mental health throughout history, both reinforcing and challenging stigma. While some religious beliefs created fear, shame, and misunderstanding around mental health, religion has also offered support, compassion, and guidance within communities. I wanted to investigate how these attitudes have changed over time and how awareness can continue to improve.
To communicate these ideas, I created a leaflet and poster focused on mental health awareness and the importance of seeking support. I included helpful contacts and information to encourage open conversations and reduce stigma, promoting the idea that asking for help is a sign of strength rather than weakness.
