Undersea is an editorial book inspired by the writing and environmental themes of Rachel Carson, combining experimental typography with ocean-inspired visual design. Using a refined colour palette of deep blue, white, and black, the book reflects the atmosphere and movement of the sea while creating a minimal and immersive reading experience.
A key feature of the project was the use of French folds, which added a tactile and interactive element that reflected the mystery of the underwater world. Experimental typography was used throughout the book to imitate the rhythm and flow of water through variations in scale, spacing, and layout, transforming the text into part of the visual storytelling experience.
